Hi friends! Welcome back to the blog! I hope youre enjoying the beautiful weather this week and staying cool. I can’t believe how hot it got here in NY so quick! Tommy and I finally had a day off of everything and we planned to go hiking and get out of the house for a bit. We got all errands done so we could just go have a good time in nature, explore, and spend the day with Willow (our new fur bun baby you can read about her here!).
Monday was Gorgeous and the perfect day to spend in nature. Tommy brought us to this spot last year and it’s so nice! It’s a pretty long trail, not sure how far back it goes and you can walk right up to the river and stream. It’s honestly so peaceful!
We actually sat for awhile on a fallen tree at the stream and just enjoyed the time we spent there. It was super cute, a dog came running into the stream about 10 minutes later for a quick dip and then they kept waling. He was having the time of his life lol!
I can’t wait to bring Willow with us adventuring. She has to get used to a harness and going outside still. It’s a lot of noises and smells and animals for a bunny.
Tommy and I actually made a deal to move our workouts to the weekdays so weekends can be spent hiking! I am making sure I schedule some “off” days too so we can make this happen and go camping at some point too. We haven’t been camping since Letchworth (you can read about it here).
There are so many good places on our list to go (camping and hiking) so there will be many more blogs to come! We just used some bug spray, I plan to make my own chemical free version since I didn’t have time for this one. DIY recipe coming soon for that especially because the ticks are awful this year! We didn’t have much of a winter so they’re everywhere this year. Tom picked up 3 just in the yard! Definitely bring a water too. I brought ours in a thermos to keep cool and since this was a short hike and it was a lot cooler by the river and it’s mostly shaded, we only brought that one. Anything else I recommend bringing one for each of you lol.
I hope you enjoyed this blog! I can’t wait to share more with you in the coming future.
