Hey friends! it’s been awhile since I last blogged and I really miss posting on here. It’s one of my favorite things and this year I just haven’t caught a break so unfortunately blogging took the backburner.
A lot has happened this year, some very great and some things that.. well.. could be better if I’m being honest.
I am always the upbeat, bubbly, look at the positive kind of person and right now I am going through one of my hardest lessons yet. I know the universe is teaching me to let go of my white-knuckle-grip hold on life and trust that things are working out for me to become exactly who I am meant to be. And, I’m working on that.
This isn’t going to be a Debbie-Downer post either. Like I said, I’m a naturally positive person. I like sharing that positivity and bringing joy to others whether that is through my coaching work, my blog, recipes, a simple/thoughtful post, etc. It all has meaning and I am happy if I can make one person’s day a little brighter.
Tom and I started planning our wedding a lot more. Things got put on hold for awhile and even though we are no longer using the Barn, we have some other plans lined up. I don’t want to mention that yet since 1. I don’t know much at the moment and 2. I do like some things to remain a surprise.
I ordered my dress on David’s Bridal about a week and a half ago. I received it Friday and OMG I am in love. It fit perfect in the waist, I just need a hem, taken in in the bust area, andddd a few personalized adjustments. I can’t wait to share it after the big day!
My sister is helping me make the bouquets and centerpieces. I have everything in my amazon cart just waiting to press Buy lol. Our theme is Rustic Italy. Think old Verona, Tuscany, rustic kind of vibe. It’s going to be so beautiful and I love watching it all come together. I plan to post the bouquets on the blog as their own post as a DIY to help any other bride-to-be’s out there who are opting to make their own as well. Here is a Pinterest Pic for a general idea of what we’re going for.
We also moved last month after being in the car accident. We are fine by the way! It happened at the end of May and I’m just ready for the entire situation to be over with and have my Jeep back. It’s been a long, stressful process hopefully ending sooner rather than later. So we moved out of our little baby apartment and I am actually pretty sad that we left. It was really perfect for us at the time and there was so much growth in our little home. We out grew it and we love our new apartment we are in. It’s roomy, so much natural light, and I feel my creativeness coming back to me. I LOVE my sunroom. It’s one of my favorite parts. I can’t wait to have it set up to sit out there soon.
As far as fitness and nutrition go, I did track for a couple weeks just to get my head back on track. I noticed (as well as my sister) that my eating habits were slipping and I was consuming a lot of sugar probably from the stress. I’m also a big snacker lol. So I tracked macros for a couple weeks and it was enough to get me going back in a positive direction. I am also slowly posting recipes on my IG as well as my highlights from earlier this year. I plan to get those uploaded onto the blog at some point as well. In the mean time, you can check those out here!
I took a big step back from my normal training. After the accident, I needed to slow it down with the weights and
A few upcoming events I can’t wait to share with you all. My bachelorette/girls weekend is coming up soon which I am so excited for. I can’t wait to spend the weekend with my girls and just have fun. Bridal shower is after that!
Really, just looking forward to celebrating with all of my friends and family who can make it. After last year, I’m ready to do all the things. Outfit details will be posted! I can’t wait!!
This has been such a busy summer, it seems to just be flying by. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for spooky szn. but I am sad I didn’t get to do as much with Tom as we planned to. Maybe we will squeeze in a quick camping weekend somewhere close or another hike!
I also read quite a few books this year that I really love. Currently I’m reading The Four Agreements. I’ll do a separate blog post for the books and also get back to my Monthly Favorites. I really enjoyed writing those last year.
I think that’s just about it! I didn’t want to make this recap super long since I haven’t blogged all year really. Just saying Hey and I hope everyone is having a great summer!
What’s one thing you are looking forward to do this summer?
Anyone else a big fan of spooky-szn?
Any other Bride-to-be’s out there?
Comment and let me know! I love connecting with new girls who have similarities with me <3
