Hi guys, happy Monday! I had such a crazy weekend and I wanted to get this up yesterday but there was just way too much happening.
My car is still broken… so Tom and I ordered out a few times this weekend since we usually do grocery shopping on Saturday/Sunday. I decided to do the Shoprite delivery and that should be here by 4pm tonight or so.
I honestly didn’t mind the shop from home. I dread the grocery store and it was nice to just add our typical things to the cart and check out. I wouldn’t do this all the time because I am picky about my food and what it looks like but it was helpful for this week.
Last Monday I started decorating for Christmas and slowly started changing out some of the fall decor. That blog is here!
I had some brown rice and quinoa pasta for dinner with meat sauce while I face timed my sister. While we were talking my hear got red hot and super itchy… just one ear lol. Super weird so I took my earring off until it stopped.
Eventually it stopped and Tom came home with the mail. He got one of his gifts early but it didn’t fit so I am the proud owner of a cute new baseball hat lol.
While trying to go to bed, I noticed my bottom lip getting a bit puffy on one side. Again, super weird… I got up to look in the mirror and saw it was swollen. There was nothing I could do so I went back to bed and thennn it started getting itchy/tingly… then it went to my gums and the tip of my tongue and my eye started getting itchy.. again not bot. Just one eye lol. I got up looked at it again and took my allergy medicine.
I realized I was having an allergic reaction and started to panic a little inside.
I woke up the next morning to a very puffy lip, my nose swollen, and my eye puffy. I took another allergy medicine just in case. I ended up having a facetime with my doctor around 10:30am. Her main concern was that the first reaction I had a couple weeks ago was just sharp stomach pains after eating the pasta to a full blown allergic reaction.
It’s also super weird because I could eat both brown rice and quinoa in the past. The swelling eventually went down but because my teeth were pressed into my lip all night from it being so swollen and me sleeping on my side/stomach I ended up with a canker sore in the shape of my teeth on my bottom lip. It sounds gross, I know lol. It’s extremely painful and took all week to figure out how to eat, chew, and brush my teeth without touching it.
Because I never want to have a reaction like this again, I had some scrambled eggs and sautéed veggies for lunch.
I also made some crustless pumpkin pie to use up the remaining pumpkin I had in the fridge. I decided to record clips and make a TikTok too. I’m not one for trends but I do like some of the helpful videos so why not make some.
I also did a comparison of my quads Wednesday night and I have to say I am very proud and content with where my legs are right now. They’re more muscular and cut than they ever were in the past.
Thursday we were lacking on the groceries so for lunch I had some sautéed veggies with some white beans and avocado.
I had a couple bananas that needed to be used up and we all know that means banana bread muffins. I used my recipe here and subbed out the dates for chocolate chips. I also added some cinnamon and made another TikTok recipe. You can find me on there @BootifullyFit
Friday I spent the day catching up on the mentorship group calls I’m in. I still have to finish that call and the one from Saturday.. I had so much happening this past week that I completely blanked and forgot about it Saturday after my client calls.
For dinner Tom and I ordered from the restaurant near us. I got the Italian Panini. SO GOOD. Tom got a chicken parm hero.
Saturday was another super stressful day but I spent most of the day cleaning the house up and scrubbing the shower while Tom was out. For dinner we ordered pizza. I also signed up to work towards my Human Movement Specialist certification. I like it as a nice refresher too.
For those of you who don’t know me, I went to school for Advanced Personal Training and Exercise Science as well as Psychology and Human Services. I’ve been wanting to do this program for awhile and decided now is the perfect time.
Sunday I spent the day with Tom trying to get the house in order, finish changing out clothes for all the winter ones, putting away the fall decor, and pulling out the Christmas ones. Plus laundry day and the shop from home. We ordered again from the same restaurant and we go the same things lol. That panini is so delicious.
Tom and I spent time hanging out too. It’s hard to do that usually because of time. We lifted last night together and I did a push day. I took the last week off because of the allergic reaction and my shoulder has been killing me. My body needed it.
Today is a new day. This is going to be a good week. I have a feeling 🙂
I also had a thought come to me this morning that I didn’t react to a couple certain situations recently the way I would have in the past. Then on the podcast I’m listening to, the guy said you clear your Dharma when you do not react the same way, negatively as you would in the past. *Confirmation*

I’ve been feeling super lost about what I’m doing and not that I don’t love my job but I know I could be doing something else or improving somewhere. Just trying to figure that out. It’ll come to me for sure.
