Happy Friday guys! I am so excited to get back into these monthly favorites. It was a well needed break. I haven’t really ventured out to try new things these last couple months but I have a few good ones that I want to share and hopefully you’ll find them helpful as well!

I’ll start with the dairy free swaps I have been making!
Country Crock Plant Based Butter:
I’m not a huge butter person but I have been using this on my waffles/english muffins in the mornings and any dishes I make that require butter. It tastes super normal, I can’t even tell it’s dairy free!
Vans gluten free waffles: I LOVE the blueberry one. I was on an apple cinnamon waffle kick for a while but the bloobs took over guys lol. I just switched back to the apple cinnamon. These have been so great because I have been trying to cut back on the amount of gluten I eat as well. I don’t even use syrup and I haven’t in a very long time. If I feel like I need a little more sweetness, I add some raspberry preserves on top.
*Both the dairy/gluten free is for my own personal health reasons.
So Delicious coconut creamer: I recently found this swap in the last week trying to find a milk substitute for my coffee. I love strong black coffee at Starb’s but at home, I really enjoy that creamy taste in the morning.
I took my time in the grocery store looking at all of my options for DF creamers and I just grabbed this one. It’s French Vanilla, reduced sugar and organic coconut milk. I prefer not to have a pre-sweetened creamer so I plan to try out one a client sent me to try! This is a journey I started 7 years ago so I will have to make an entirely different blog post on this for you guys.
You can find any of the above at most grocery stores!
1Up Nutrition Vegan Peanut Butter Protein Powder: You guys already know I love my 1Up proteins. I made the switch last month to a Vegan protein to cut back on the whey. I feel so much better and my digestive system loves me for it lol.
I am affiliated with 1Up but I stand behind my word with them. I literally love their products. If you would like to give them a try, use my code “littlecarillo” to save 20% off your total which can be combined with any site sales! If you aren’t a huge fan (which I doubt will happen), they have a great return policy.
Moving on to the second half!
Glycine: I started taking Glycine this month and I am taking it to help with a better/deeper sleep. I wake up a lot at night but I really have no problem falling asleep anymore. Glycine is an amino acid that helps in melatonin production. Sometimes I do wake up pretty tired with this so I don’t take it every day. Just when I have a few sleepless nights and I really need it. Supplements are meant to help where you are lacking.
Disclaimer: Ask your doctor before starting any new supplements. Some supps can affect everyone differently and can affect medication you are already taking. I do not combine this with any other sleep aid.
Medjool Dates : Banana & Date Muffins:
These have been such a treat this month. Dates are naturally high in sugar making them a great pre/post workout snack. They give me enough energy to workout or replenish glycogen stores after a workout. Literally natures candy. Plus you only need a couple! And they have a decent amount of fiber in them so if you are lacking in that department, I recommend.
I decided to chop some up and put them in my banana muffins this week. They came out delish!! I recommend and I linked the recipe above for you!
Orange Cinnamon Spice Twinings Tea & Apple Cinnamon Spice Celestial Seasonings Tea:
I love tea guys. I drink it just about every day and these are my top two favs. I also love that they are perfect for the fall when you are really craving “cozy”. I add a little bit of the honey we bought when we went to Letchworth and I am good to go!
If I find anything else, I plan to add it to the October list!
ALSO, tomorrow we are celebrating my BFF’s birthday and I plan to take lot’s of pics to share the place we are going and add it to the travel blogs. We went last year with her and the place is so much fun to visit if you are in the NY area!
Enjoy your weekend!
Do you have nay fun plans going on?
What have you been loving this month?
