Happy Thursday! I have quite a few things that I can’t wait to share with you in the recap so grab your coffee (or tea) and get comfortable. This might be a bit out of order. I planned to share this Monday but things happen. It was such a busy week! I don’t know where the time went honestly. I did get my outfit for my girls trip/Bach coming up so I’ll be sharing that soon!
Let’s start with the my Jeep! I finally have her back as of Friday and I’m so so so happy! The rental was just a days short of 2 months and I’m so glad I can finally relax now. The stress of not knowing when you’ll be getting your car back is a lot especially when you have a million other things going on. I’m so grateful for the rental we had but it was time. I missed my Jeep and I feel like things are complete again. We returned the rental Friday night but since they were closed, we went in Saturday morning to pay it and make it official.
When I was driving to the rental place, Friday night, there was a beautiful, complete rainbow and a cotton candy sky. I knew right then that things were going to be okay and many more blessings from the universe were on their way.
It felt like a huge weight was lifted from me as we drove off.
Friday I posted my crockpot shredded beef recipe which was absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to make it again! It was perfect for easy meals and we were able to change them up every day. You can find that recipe here! I even froze some of it in individual containers so it was easy for meal prep and reducing waste. I hate wasting food.. maybe because I meal prepped with macros for so long that I always ate what I bought/prepped so now I feel bad when I throw out food I didn’t get to eat.
I made some wedding progress last week with my sister and with some of my girls in the wedding getting their dresses soon. I’m still keeping things a surprise but man, I can’t wait to share that blog post with you all in September!! They’re all going to look so beautiful in their dresses.
I already posted part of the centerpieces I’m DIY’ing with my big sis and I’m happy to say we made more progress with those as well as the card inserts, favors, and place holders! Btw guys… glitter. I feel like that’s all I need to say but glitter is so HARD to get off lol!! My sister and I thought it was a great idea to glitter things outside because it was beautiful out and the second we started, a big grey cloud came and then the wind. We ended up moving back inside to finish up!
I really enjoy her helping me with my big day. It’s great sister quality time making memories and some we can laugh about after this is all over like the glitter getting all over us in the wind lol. Funny later on, not in the moment.
I was really craving a cookie dough smoothie last week too and I’m determined to perfect this because it was too good not to share. This recipe just needs a few adjustments before I put the recipe out. Sometimes that happens! It takes a few tries when creating recipes so you have the right balance going.
I highly recommend edible cookie dough in smoothies though. Definitely making your own is healthier than the store bought.
This one is refined sugar free, dairy free, egg free, flour free, vegan friendly, etc. This thing was DELICIOUS.
I had chicken salad a couple days in the beginning of the week for lunch/dinner. Tom grilled me some chicken and I’m not a fan of reheated chicken so I made chicken salad with balsamic dressing and baby spinach for a quick meal and some gluten free/grain free crackers on the side.
Last week was also a busy week with client calls and playing catch up on trainings I missed. It will be the same this week as I fill my schedule up more with wedding planning since we are coming up close! September is going to be here before we know it. Anyone else feel like this summer is flying by?! Pleaseeee slow down. I feel like there’s still so much to do!!
I had PT last week too and to be honest it could be going better. We are coming up to 1 month and it’s not that it’s not helping, things usually feel worse before they feel better.k
It’s the stretching, moving, poking, and prodding that makes it painful for days after. That in itself is affecting my every day life. It’ll get better and I know it will. As much as I don’t want to continue going, I’m pushing through it! I know that one day I’ll feel so much better and be happy that I didn’t quit.
And yes I am still in the gym ~4 days/week. I’m not lifting as heavy, I stopped deadlifting and squatting altogether and I’ve been improvising and pushing myself in other ways. I also started up some cardio because I sit far too long these days. My body feels sluggish when I do that. I’m determined to move more! Some cardio is good for you and movement is necessary. Not all cardio is directed at fat loss.
Maybe I’ll write up another post about my gym routine. Let me know if that’s something you’d like to see!
I think that’s all for now. I’ll be posting my July Favorites blog later this weekend as well so keep your eyes out for that!
Enjoy the rest of your day!
