Hey guys!! I’m so excited to start writing my weekly recap posts. I used to do these on my old blog and I stopped when I started this one. It’s actually been pretty hard to get into a routine with these again. I forget for a few days and then I’m like oh yea! I’m doing these again lol.
With that being said, this one will be a little spotty but I’m here for it!
Last week was pretty hectic when we got back from Camping at Letchworth SP. It was such a fun weekend though! You can read about our trip here if you missed it!
When we got home Sunday, we did some laundry and unpacked the car (mostly).. I’m a “do it all right away” kind of person. Tom’s not haha.
We also came home to a beautiful present from Tom’s family. His sister made these cute, rustic scrabble letters for us!! We love them so much! Make sure to reach out to me at lifestyledbycassie@gmail.com if you’d like to get letters of your own from her. <3
Since I wasn’t available all weekend for my clients, I had most of my client calls Monday. I love checking in with my ladies. They make my heart so happy to hear how they’re doing. If you didn’t know, I am an online lifestyle coach and I am currently transitioning into a Mindset and Self Healing coach. You can learn more about my coaching here!
I also needed a little pick-me-up Monday, late afternoon so since I finally had instant coffee from camping I made a non-dairy Dalgona coffee! It was pretty good but not something I will 100% make all the time.
Honestly, this entire past week was a blur. I did a big cleaning day which was motivated by another blogger who did a full day of cleaning video/blog. I needed that motivation to get it all done in one day lol.
We didn’t have a chance to go grocery shopping right away for the week so I ended up making a tuna salad on toast. I’m not a huge fish person but I will have tuna salad maybe once every few years lol. I have to really be in the mood for it. I hate the “fishy” taste. I honestly didn’t even taste it with how I made the tuna salad. I’ll have to blog the recipe for you guys next time I make it because coming from a non-fish eater, it was pretty dang good!
Also, I am no longer tracking macros. As I get more in-tune with my body and self development, I no longer have the want to track my food. I’ve been doing more intuitive eating and listening to my body/hunger and fullness cues and I honestly feel great!
For dinner this week we did chicken with sauteed broccoli and pasta, meatloaf and mashed potatoes, chicken marsala with pasta and broccoli (marsala sauce by Campbell’s co.). My pasta is the Barilla Protein+ and pizza friday lol.
BTW the Campbell’s skillet/oven packs are such a staple for us. Sometimes we just need a quick and easy meal and these are perfect for exactly that.
Last night was date night so we went to Copperfield’s Irish Pub in Montgomery. If you haven’t been there, I highly recommend. They have great food and its such a laid back environment. It’s one of our favorite places.
Normally I meditate every day for 20-30 min and go for morning walks to get my steps in but this week was so back and forth with weather and just so busy. We had some pretty bad rain storms for a few days and it’s been brutally hot out. This week I am 100% getting back on my walks and mindset game. I feel completely thrown off. My plants however, have been loving all the water they’ve been getting! I’ll do an update on my crate garden but until then, you can read all about how I made mine here!
I have been on top of my blogging game though so I am really proud of myself for that! I plan to put blogs out like this all the time as long as I have the time to.
This week I have a few things planned and one is a 3-ingredient brownie recipe! Definitely keep an eye out for those. I haven’t made them in years. I am trying to cut back on the processed food and the ones I have an intolerance or sensitivity to. Whole foods just make me feel better and more energized.
Another update, I planned out some future trips that are close to home so I can add those on here for you guys too and share my experiences and all the pics! I can’t wait for fall to be honest lol. Anyone else?!
That’s pretty much all that I can remember so as these go on, I will get better with them I swear haha.
Let me know in the comments what you would like to see more of on the blog!
