Happy Monday and welcome back to the blog! I’m actually enjoying blogging again and being able to get my thoughts out, but also being able to document everything so I can look back on it years from now and remember these moments.
Sunday’s I made my official self care day. After errands including the gym, grocery shopping, and everything else we didn’t get done on Saturday, it feels good to just put myself first. Tom also stopped into a place and got sized for his suit. Unfortunately they went out of business this past weekend but it worked out and everyone got their suits for the rental price which is amazing.
By the time we got home, I threw an oil treatment in my hair (I do this once/mo) and a face mask on. This is by far my favorite mask and I think its so cool it is made from volcano ashes. I plan to write up another blog post on how good this mask is for your skin but for now just know it’s my fav and it’s good.
I’ve been falling asleep around 8:30-9:00 every night. I feel like my energy is just spent in so many different directions. September can’t come soon enough but I am learning to enjoy the process and celebrate the little things as we go.
After the gym Monday, Tom and I stopped back into the mall to one of the suit places and he picked up his suit for the big day! 34 days and counting today 🙂 I put lasagna in the crockpot that morning for an easy dinner/lunches for the next few days. It was one thing I didn’t have to worry about for a bit. I overcooked it a bit on accident… lol. My bad. It still tasted good!
He met the rest of the groomsmen there and they all got sized for their suits at the same time. It feels good to have that checked off the list and I can’t wait to see everyone in September when it all comes together. After, they all went to look at shoes and see what style fit everyone. I also went around the mall while they did this with a friend and found a dress and shoes to wear to dinner this Saturday. I’m so excited to go have a weekend with my girl friends and relax with some fun sprinkled in.
I will be posting my outfit details in another blog post. I am so excited to share them.
My week was filled with client calls, PT, and more wedding things. I finished more centerpieces at my sister’s and made some more plans.
Friday, I spent the day on client calls, getting caught up on trainings, and cleaning. I also ordered my wedding shoes which should be here by today!
For breakfast I had cassava flour pancakes. I avoid wheat products where I can because it gives me little bumps all over my body. Just a small sensitivity lol. They were pretty good but def need some tweaking. I made a bunch so I could reheat the rest over the weekend for an easy breakfast.
I got dressed for the gym Friday and then Tom and I decided to just have dinner together instead. We haven’t been able to do this lately with us being so busy. It was nice to go have that time together.
We went to Cosimo’s in Middetown and I had the Spicy New Yorker with prosciutto. It’s my absolute FAV there but all of their food is delicious. I highly recommend going if you have never been. I also got a peach mule. I never drink but once in awhile I feel like having something. This was so good! Not too sweet and perfect for a light dinner.
After dinner, Tom got me my favorite, Peanut M&M’s. It was the perfect dessert to munch on after.
Saturday I finished up my Monthly/Year favorites blog. All the things I have loved this year since I haven’t written one in awhile. I have books, self care, food, etc in there and everything is linked! You can read more about that here.
It was also a pretty crazy weekend but I am so grateful for the supportive people in my life. It’s a good reminder that everything happens for us, not to us. Going forward I am learning to set more boundaries with people and becoming aware of a lot. Grateful for every bit of it, even the challenging moments.
I hope you all have a great week! Each week I get more and more wedding things done and it makes the check-list excited part of me feel so good haha. I am about to go bake some banana bread muffins to use up the last few overripe ones. I haven’t made these in so long! I’m excited. They will be the perfect snack for this week.
What are you doing this week?
Any fun plans?
