OOOOOO guys! I am beyond excited about this one. It came out delish!!!! Like I can eat this by the spoonful. Just sayin’.
I am half Italian, I grew up with homemade cannoli cream and I used to ask for a “Cinderella Castle” in a dish when I was younger. This was basically a swirl of cannoli cream in a monkey dish with chocolate on top lol. It is by far one of my favorite desserts. I even tried to get Tom on board with a cannoli cake for the wedding… he wasn’t having it lol. We came up with something we both enjoy as an alternative. That’s a secret for now though.
Traditional cannoli cream is made with powdered sugar, mascarpone cheese, and ricotta a long with a few other ingredients.
To make this more macro friendly and less fat/calories, I opted for a fat-free cream cheese.
Before you judge, and I repeat! you DO NOT taste the cream cheese.
A couple things to point out. Macros will vary depending on brands used and swaps. You can definitely use a regular cream cheese for this. I also recommend finding a high quality ricotta cheese so it’s super thicc and not watery. If your ricotta is watery, you can strain it with a cheese cloth or pressing it down to release some of the excess liquid.
Beating times will also vary and you cannot do this one by hand with a whisk. I beat mine with an electric hand beater for about 10 minutes or so until it started to thicken up with peaks.
Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get to the recipe!

Each serving and macros are approximately

The great part about flexible eating is being able to create and eat delicious foods like this. It’s also a really great source of protein. 10 grams per serving!!! WOW. Gimme alllll da cannoli dip guys lol.
Other than fruit, I also ate this with my bagel french toast (I’m getting to that recipe soon lol) and it was heaven. Tasted just like dessert for breakfast!
Tag me in your re-creations guys! I can’t wait to see them.
