Gooood morning and happy friday bbes! I am so excited for this weekend and it’s going to be a busy one but I wanted to hop on here early and get this DIY up for you! This weekend I am having my bridal party over for a fire and s’mores to officially ask them to be in the wedding. It wasn’t official, official and obv throwing a small get together makes it official.. duh.
I have client check in’s and a whole lotta cleaning/organizing to do. LORDT I cannot wait to live in a bigger place lol. Maybe one with closets would be nice so I can just shove everything into hiding. Anyone else like this?
This wreath was slowly coming together and it requires a handful of items and NO GLUE. I make things as easy as humanly possible. I am not the crafty person.. that’s my big sis but sometimes I get sucked into some DIY things. If it ends up being a crazy difficult hot mess, I compare it to making fondant with her. Miserable times man, I’m telling you.
Unfortunately the dollar store is all out of these pumpkins however, a friend of mine found one similar in Hobby Lobby by her. Maybe check around and see what you find! But any wreath will do. I’ll make sure to get the winter/holiday DIY out earlier than this.
I bought one roll of tulle, one roll of ribbon, and the flower was actually a left over from my fall decor! I attached the link so you can read all about it. Everything but the flower was from the dollar store. I like to make these affordable because a wreath can add up quick and not everyone is looking to spend $50 on a wreath.
At first I tied the ribbon around the pumpkin to see how it would look and if it would stay. Thank god for the stem because that helps hold it all in place.
When I bought the tulle to add at a later date, I ended up taking the ribbon off to twist it around every other wire of the pumpkin. I started at the stem and a simple tie/knot will keep it all in place.
I know in the pic it looks super confusing but imagine the ribbon gone. I wrapped the middle of the tulle around the stem so it was equal on both sides and literally just wrapped the tulle around the outside wire and the two middle pieces. At the bottom you can see I sort of twisted them/criss-cross to keep it all in place.
Tied it in a knot around the stem and let the extra ends hang so they would hang behind the bow.
I then tied the ribbon around the pumpkin again and made a big ol’ bow. Everything is better with a giant bow on it, just sayin’ guys. If you choose to use glue you can make a bow and glue it on at the top.
The I felt like it needed a little something more so I took one of my spare flowers and twisted it around the pumpkin stem. Again, thankful that was there lol but I would’ve made it work on a circle wreath too.
Don’t over complicate this. I Literally just twisted or looped things around the stem lol.
Honestly, I enjoyed making this just winging it. It came out simple but super cute at the same time.
Feel free to add more flowers or other decor onto it if you like the big BAM HERE I AM wreaths. I’m just not that person haha.
What are you guys up to this weekend! Comment and let me know <3
