The Best Chili You’ll Ever Have

Hi guys! Welcome back to the blog for the best chili recipe in the world. I actually have tried to make chili a few different ways but they always turn out way too tomato-ey. I decided to call my sister for a little assistance in remembering my childhood chili.

Also, sorry for the not so great picture quality…

Easy Chili Recipe

This is literally a one pan thing. I typically just brown the ground beef in the giant pot I’m going to cook in. You can separate it if you’d like!

Start by warming your pot over medium high heat and adding some chopped fresh garlic when the oil is hot, reduce to medium heat.

Once golden, add in your ground beef and seasonings. I use garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, black pepper, and salt. Feel free to add in cayenne pepper or something else more spicy here too!

Easy Chili Recipe

When the beef is completely cooked, begin adding in 2 cans of kidney beans, 2 cans refilled with water, 1 small can of tomato paste, and refill that small can with water as well. Do not drain anything before pouring in.

You want to have the same amount of water for everything you are adding it. Don’t worry, it won’t get watery!!

Stir everything together. If your tomato paste doesn’t mix well right away, it will when the liquids are more hot.

Let this boil on a medium low heat for as long as you want. If you like a thicker chili.. you’ll want it to boil longer. I let mine cook for about 45min to 1 hour on low heat.

Then taste test! Add more chili powder or other seasonings if you desire more spice. You can always out more in. You can’t take any out 🙂

You can also make this in a crockpot and leave it all day to cook while you go about life. That’s the beauty of them when you’re too busy (or just need a cooking break).

Easy Chili Recipe

I love to crush up crackers and put in mine but I also loved when my mom would make mashed potatoes with chili growing up. It was the perfect combo.

I hope you enjoy this one this season! Colder weather is upon us after these the last warm days just ended. Stay cozy!!
