Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F and spray a glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Oat crumble
- In a medium bowl combine all oat crumble DRY ingredients. Then add in the small pieces of cold butter. Using a fork, pastry blender, OR clean hands lol.. cut in the cold butter into the dry mixture. You want crumbles here! Set aside in
Filing
- Peel and dice apples.
- In a large bowl, coat apple pieces with lemon juice. Mix in remaining ingredients until well coated.
- Pour filling into prepared baking dish. Top with the crumble mixture.
- Bake for apprx. 30-35 min. until the crumble is golden brown and the filling is bubbling on the sides. If you have a glass/clear baking dish, this will be easier to see.
- Let cool for about 15-20 min before serving!
- Top with some vanilla bean ice cream or whipped cream and enjoy.

Making this recipe, use swaps that are gluten free that you trust.
I have not tried to make this gluten free.
GF all-purpose flour is a 1:1 ratio and will be easy to swap with regular flour.
Use a gluten free certified oat brand to sub for the crumble.
You can sub room temp coconut oil with butter 1:1 ratio.
